Do you distinguish SIBO from SIFO (small intestinal fungal overgrowth)?Updated 10 months ago
It is challenging to check for the presence of SIFO without doing urine or blood tests, although it may be present in as many as 30% of SIBO cases.
The herbal antimicrobials we use include berberine and caprylic acid, as well as s. boulardii to treat for the presence of fungals. When we do use antibiotics to treat SIBO, we use antifungals alongside the antibiotics.
